Martha F. Quillen
Princess Anne: Martha F. Quillen, 79 of here died Friday, Dec. 3rd at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury. Born in Snow Hill she was the daughter of the late Albert Fooks and Beatrice Hammond Fooks. Her late Husband was James R. Quillen Sr. who died Jan. 31, 2005. Mrs. Quillen was a former curb waitress at the former Sheltons and Acorn driveins and a bartender at the Salisbury Elks Lodge from 1973 to 1980. She was a poultry grower from 1979 to 2006.
A lover of all animals, she was a much loved Mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother.
Mrs. Quillen is survived by three children, Judy Quillen of Princess Anne, Joy Smith and her husband Steve of Hebron and John Quillen and his wife Lora of Tyaskin, grandchildren, Justin Smith, Jessica Hill, Jordan Smith, Jami Quillen and Jimmy Quillen, greatgrandchildren, Jackson Smith and Robby Hill. Also survived by four sisters, Rosalee Atkinson of Delmar, Alberta Lynch of Snow Hill, Mary Age of Snow Hill and Barbara Parks of Princess Anne.
In addition to her husband she was preceeded in death by her son, James R. Quillen, Jr. who died on March 5, 1988 and a brother, William Fooks.
A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec 7th at 2:00 PM at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. The Rev. Paul Sherwood will officiate.
