Marsha Lee Newton, 69, of here passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.
Born in Salisbury on February 28, 1949, she is the daughter of Nancy Daniels Horseman and the late Harvey W. Horseman. She graduated from Deal Island High School as Salutorian of her class. Marsha worked as a secretary at the former Dresser Wayne Industries.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gillis Newton, sister Gail Horseman and brother Howard Horseman.
Along with her mother, she is survived by her son David Whitelock and his wife Dawn of Dames Quarter, grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, and Harvey, sister Kathy Hansin and her husband Paul of Newport News, Va., sister in law, Mary Lou Horseman, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in St. Paul's U.M. Church Cemetery, Rev. David Webster will officiate.
