Fairmount – Margaret Belle Parks, 78 of here passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024 at Manokin Manor in Princess Anne, Maryland. Born in Salisbury Maryland, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Collins) Waller. She went as far as ninth grade in high school, but she worked really hard with two paper routes and the water business and plus raising kids. She loved life so much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip D. Parks Sr., son, Philip D. Parks Jr., daughter Dawn Battista, brother Bryan Waller, and sister Sharon Barnes.

She is survived by one son, Kevin G. Parks of Fairmount, Maryland, and one granddaughter, Brittany Battista of Louisville, Kentucky, three sisters, Patricia, Waller of Princess Anne, Maryland, Georgiana Odom of Delmar, Maryland, and Vicky Taylor of Hebron Maryland, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a great mother, and a great woman.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Bonnie Stone will officiate.
