Princess Anne – Mae L. Webster Godfrey, 91, of here passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at The Gables at Manokin in Princess Anne, MD.
Born in Westover, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Layfield. Mae graduated from Washington High School in 1947. She was a life member of 1208 Women of the Moose, member of the College Regents, Charter member of Mt. Vernon Fire Dept., Princess Anne Lioness Club, and Melvin Jones Fellowship of the Princess Anne Lions Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald Webster and George Godfrey, children Teena Webster, Larry Webster, Wayne Webster, and Jaye Price, brothers Charles Layfield and Alfred Layfield, and sister Mary Ann Merrill.
She is survived by her children, Jim Webster (Colleen), Lori Price, Marg Tarleton (Tooter), Donna Messick (Jerry) and special nieces Debbie Mister, Crystal Layfield and her daughter Brittany, grandchildren Vicky Whitehead and Darren, Tony Webster and Leesa, Mark Webster, Heather Robinson and Chris, Eddie Price and Jane, and Andy Price and Brittany, and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. of Princess Anne, MD. with a visitation one hour before the service. Mrs. Bonnie Stone will officiate. Interment will follow in Beechwood Cemetery.
