Oriole - Lucille C. Norris (nee Passarella), 91, died peacefully on Dec 1st at her home in Oriole, Maryland. She was surrounded by her loving son Steve and daughter-in-law Sharon. Lucille was raised in the Baltimore area and graduated from Western High School. After graduation, she initially worked for the banking industry. Later, she worked with her parents operating Nemo's Sub Shop in South Baltimore. She was a devoted daughter to Lena and Nemo Mangialardi. When her parents retired, she and her husband Tom took over the business. They sold the shop and retired to Oriole, Maryland in 1984.
When she was not working and after she retired, she enjoyed doing ceramics, painting wood crafts, painting fishing lures for Spanky's Lures and spending time with her family. Lucille enjoyed reading, selling, and buying books. She was always looking for a good deal! She also received a fishing certificate for catching a record sea trout. In her later years she would just putter around her new house that she shared with her youngest son Steve and his wife, Sharon.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Upton (Tom) Norris Jr. in 2015, her oldest son Upton Thomas III (Tommy) in 2013, and granddaughter Angela Lukens, also in 2013. She is survived by her children Brenda Lukens (Phil), Sheila Drain (Rick), Bill Norris (Sue) and Steve Norris (Sharon). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Eddie Daniels will officiate. Inurnment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Oriole, MD.
