IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lucille M.
Lawson
April 27, 2021
Princess Anne - Lucille Mae Lawson, 90, of Salisbury, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, surrounded by loved ones at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, David and Cindy Lawson. Born in Wenona, she was the daughter of the late Monnie Denwood Jones and Elizabeth Webster Jones.
Lucille was primarily a housewife, but also worked as a bookkeeper for Warwick's Hardware Store, and later managed Lawson's Snack Bar in Princess Anne. She was a member of St.PetersMethodist Church in Oriole. Lucille enjoyed fishing with the family and league duckpin bowling, but her favorite hobbies were sewing and baking. She could always be counted on to mend someone's clothes, or to supply a pie or sweet potato biscuits on a moment's notice. In later years, she enjoyed many weekend visits from family members, where a home-cooked meal and the game of Yahtzee was the big attraction.
Lucille is survived by 2 sons, William David Lawson (Cynthia) of Salisbury, MD, and Edgar Ray Lawson (Mary) of Grand Forks, ND. She leaves 6 grandchildren (Amy(Glen), Ray(Kayla), Pamela, Lee, Bill, and Laura), as well as 4 great-grandchildren,and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lucille was also preceded in death by her husband, William Everett Lawson; a son (Miles Everett Lawson), 3 sisters (Marion, Louise, and Phyllis), 1 brother (Jack) and a half-brother (Harlon).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Oriole. Officiating will be Rev's Fred Duncan & William Kniceley. Please observe Covid-19 guidelines.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Coastal Hospice, or to St.Peter's United Methodist Church in Oriole, MD.
