Wenona - Linda Rose Webster, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Tidal Health Hospital in Salisbury, MD surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on March 18th, 1947 to Florence Figgs and Otto Hamann.
Linda was a mother and homemaker and is survived by her Daughter Theresa E. Wheatley (Lance)of Princess Anne, Md., Granddaughters Amber Stanley (Andrew) of Princess Anne, Md. and Brittany Wheatley of Charlotte, NC. Great-Grandchildren Jonah Heater, Amelia Heater, Sophie Stanley, and David Stanley. Preceding her in death was her late husband Michael G. Webster who she wed on December 17, 1965, and was the love of her life.
Additionally, Linda prided herself as a Waterman's wife and worked with the family business at Shirley's Shack in Wenona, Maryland, and in her early years she worked at the Sail Loft in Wenona, Maryland with Henry Brown, Mary Webster, and Shirley White with whom she had great friendships. She worked with the Somerset County School District in meal preparation for the students for several years and enjoyed helping others in the community with their special projects. She enjoyed her affiliation with the Moose Lodge along with her husband, and had several hobbies that included Walking, League Bowling, and was an avid Bingo player. She attended St. Paul's Methodist Church in Wenona and frequented the Redeemer Purchase Church as well.
Linda had a large family of Brothers and Sisters, Charlie Hamann, Russell Hamann (Linda), Marie Jones and sister-in-law Phyllis Carter who she remained close with through the years. Preceding her in death were Doris Estep, Florence Bumbrey, Elmer Hamann, Benny Carter, and Jimmy Carter.
She had a special connection with her brothers and Sister's in-laws Susie Walters, Ted Webster (Judy), Richard Webster (Claudia). Also preceding her in death were Sylvia Anderson, Shirley White, Bonnie Walters, and Walter Webster who were the children of the late Clifton and Elizabeth Webster.
She had many Nieces and Nephews that she loved as her own and was always interested in what they were doing in their lives.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, April 17, 2023 at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Wenona with a visitation one hour before the service. Pastor David Webster will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Methodist Church.
