Linda “Joyce” Mason, 74, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Bridging Life Hospice in Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

Born in Salisbury, MD on March 31, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Walter H. and Addie V. Ford Porter of Princess Anne.

Joyce loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed going on bus trips, shopping, cooking, gardening, and she loved to sing. She could do anything she put her mind to and had a good heart, always wanting to help others. She had her faith and was a member of the former Somerset United Methodist Church in Dames Quarter; she also attended classes to become a lay speaker. She was loved and will be remembered for her sweet smile.

She is survived by her sister, Gail Hall and her family of Westover; cousins, Larry Thomas and wife Donna of Princess Anne and their sons, Lance and Matthew Thomas; and cousin, Martha A. Duggar of Falls Church, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a special aunt, Barbara Dashiell and her husband Wallace; and her brother-in-law, S. Thomas Hall.

A funeral service officiated by Pastor Tim Shawyer will be Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 2 PM at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Interment will be private in Beechwood Cemetery.
