Obituary

Monie – Leroy A. Hall, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Born in Rock Creek, MD, he was the son of the late George A. and Kathleen S. Hall. Leroy attended Princess Anne Elementary School and Poly Tech High School in Baltimore during the depression. He came back to graduate from Washington High School in Princess Anne, MD. In 1947, Leroy attended Salisbury State Teacher's College. Leroy was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Dept., and Salisbury Moose Lodge #654. He was a member of Baltimore Boumi Temple Ambassador Club, Scimeter Club and Honorary Member of "First Hundred Club" Buomi Shrine, Chester River Shrine Club, Baltimore Scottish Rite, Salisbury Scottish Rite and a 50 Year Member of Howard Lodge #101 in Elkridge, MD.
He was Assistant Director of Driver Rehabilitation at Dept. Motor Vehicles, Baltimore, MD. Leroy owned and operated Monie Bay Furniture for the past 50 years.
In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by his wife, Rita R. Hall (2014), Sister Anne Hall, Brother-in-law, Clarence Laird, and Son–in-law, William R. Malone.
He is survived by his son, Andy Hall and his wife Joanne, daughter Debbie Kenney and her husband Howard, son Sammy Hall and his wife Susan, daughter Marion Wall (Bob Hermann), and son Larry Carter and his wife Jean, sister Patricia Hall Laird, and Brother George S. Hall, grandchildren, Darryl Malone (Brenda), Renee Malone, Jennifer Bennett (Billy), Sam Hall, Jr. (Amanda), Joanne Perry (Doug), Terri Poole (Bob), Donna Mowl (Jimmy), and Jeffrey Carter (Courtney), great grandchildren, Calvin Malone, Katie Malone, Ryleigh Hartsook, Baylee Bennett, Mackenzie Bennett, Triston Perry, Liam Perry, Keelyn Perry, Renee Littleton (Keith), Robbie Poole (Mellisa), Dale Mowl, Jay Mowl (Faith), great-great grandchildren, Brody Littlejohn, Ellie Littlejohn, Ethan Poole, Colin Poole, Mason Mowl, special niece Judy Price and her children, Jill & James, nephews Brian Laird and his wife Vickie, and Charles Laird and his wife Donna.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. 11673 Somerset Ave in Princess Anne MD. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. David Webster and Rev. Charles Jacobsen will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oriole, MD.
Due the recent surge in Covid-19, masks will be required.
