Princess Anne – Leonard "Lenny" R. Purwin, 76, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury, MD.

Born in Baltimore City on July 10, 1949, he was the son of the late Bronislaw and Frances (Cuber) Purwin. Lenny worked for Giant Foods in Baltimore as a Stock Clerk. He collected comic books and made candles in his spare time. He was a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Baltimore and the Elks Club.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Wawrzyniak) Purwin of Princess Anne, MD and would have celebrated 52 years of marriage on August 18, 2025. He is also survived by his daughter, Julia (John) Bonneville, grandchildren Alicia (Eric) Benton, Jacqueline Bonneville, Caroline Bonneville, and Lawrence (Faith) Bonneville, eight great-grandchildren, and four living sisters. He was also preceded in death by a sister.

A Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 22, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales, 535 Riverside Drive, Salisbury, MD where friends may call one hour prior to Mass.
