Kenneth Herrington Webster
DEAL ISLAND — Kenneth Herrington Webster, Sr., 76, of Deal Island, died Tuesday, June 1,
2010 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born in Deal Island on May 7, 1934, he was a son of the late Charles Baker Webster and Atha
Abbott Webster.
He was a building contractor and master craftsman having built many pieces of furniture for his
home and children, and also toys for his grandchildren. He was a charter member of Deal Island
Chance Volunteer Fire Dept..
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Peggy Windsor Webster; three sons, Kenneth Webster, Jr.
and his wife, Ramona, Stephen Webster and his wife, Sheila and Robert Webster; one daughter,
Janet Brown and husband, Kenneth of Salisbury; 10 grandchildren, Brian, Kelley, Stacey, Lauren,
Dusty, Leslie, Krista, Jessica, Savannah and Owen and six great-grandchildren, Desmond, Faith,
Jordan, Morgan, Laila, Hailey and soon to be born, Sophia.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Webster and son-in-law, Eric
Benton.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Johns United Methodist Church in Deal Island
where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. Lloyd Foard and Rev. Henry Zollinhofer
will be officiating. Intement will be held in the church cemetery.
