Kenneth Ivan Hurley, 83 of Salisbury died Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on August 27, 1932 in Cokesbury, MD. (close to Pocomoke City, MD.) He was the son of the late Clinton Lee and Hattie Carter Hurley. He attended Washington High School in Princess Anne, MD. He was a longtime farmer and was employed for 33 years at Stevenson Equipment Company in Pocomoke City, MD.
Kennth was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, the center and grounding of our lives, known for his reassuring smile. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, R Steven Hurley, one sister Dorothy Bloxom, and one brother Lee Hurley.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rosalie B. Hurley, of Salisbury, MD, his son Michael K. Hurley and Tammy Pussey Moore of Delmar, MD, and his daughter Leigh Ann Elmore and her husband Steven J. Elmore of Woodbridge, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Racheal L. Hurley, Erica L. Hurley, Michael S. Elmore, Joshua S. Elmore and Brittney L. Hurley; four great-grandchildren, Riley S. Harshman, Elyse M. Elmore, Dalton W. Tubbs and Emma L. Stonell. He is also survived by his siblings, Dicky Hurley (Anne), George A. Hurley, Connie Bozman (Howard), Patsy Doyle (Bob), Danny Hurley (Judy), and one sister in law Shirley A. Hurley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Brian Lloyd will officiate.
