Salisbury - June D. Burton, 90, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Coastal Hospice Macky and Pam Stansell House in Ocean Pines.

Born on June 28, 1934, and raised in Mt. Vernon, MD, she was a daughter of the late Herman Dashiell and Flona White Dashiell.  Her husband, Dayton Eugene Burton, preceded her in death on July 6, 2000.

She was a secretary at the former DP&L and later with Somerset County Public Schools retiring in 1999. She was a member of Antioch Church in Princess Anne.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Burton Thomas of Salisbury; a granddaughter, Megan Colman of Salisbury; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Scarlett, Blake, Hazel, Julian, and Gemma; nieces, Donna Webster of Berlin and Sheila Darrah of Salisbury, Valerie Haldeman of Berlin, and her beloved cat "KiKi", who was her passion for the last five years.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Mallory Thomas; a great-grandson, Lucien; two sisters, Mildred Webster and Edna Mae Widdowson; and a nephew, Eddie Widdowson.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11 AM at Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Coastal Hospice Macky and Pam Stansell House.
