Obituary

Born in Princess Anne, MD, Julia Covington Ford was the daughter of the late James and Julia Covington.
She graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1928 and Salisbury Normal School in 1931. Mrs. Ford earned her bachelor's degree at the University of MD and was employed by the Somerset County Board of Education for forty-two years.
Mrs. Ford was a member of St. Andrews Church, St. Andrews Altar Guild, Somerset Country Retired Teachers Association, Somerset County Historical Trust and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society. The Julia Covington Ford Endowment Fund was established in her honor.
Her husband William Clyde Ford, her sister Mary Covington Windsor, and nephew James Edward Covington Windsor have predeceased her. Mrs. Ford is survived by her nephew James' wife, Linda Windsor of Salisbury, MD and her faithful caregivers for the last several years—Karen McCue, Mary Champion and Mary's daughter Ty.
On Wednesday, May 11th, there will be a visitation from 1-2 p.m. for friends and family at St. Andrews Church in Princess Anne, MD followed immediately by a 2 p.m. service.
