Joyce R. McIntyre of Eden, MD passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Anchorage Nursing Home in Salisbury, MD.

Born in Salisbury, MD on September 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late James and Doris (Harwood) Rue.

Joyce graduated from Old Washington High School and then attended college where she received her Associate's degree. She worked in several positions at University of Maryland Eastern Shore before her retirement in the early 90's.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Reginald McIntyre in 2019 and brother, James Rue and sister, JoAnn Rue Walters.

She is survived by her son, Joseph McIntyre of Princess Anne, and daughter, Anne Banning Calloway of Delmar, grandchildren Kelsey McIntyre of Wingate, NC, Gavin McIntyre of Bronx, NY, Kenneth Banning of Seaford, DE and Johny Boothe of Raleigh, NC, great grandchildren Rilynn Banning and Jacob Banning.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD with a visitation from 11AM -12:00PM.  Interment will follow in St. Andrews Cemetery in Princess Anne, MD. Pastor Laura Dorsey will officiate.
