Salisbury – Joan E. Meredith, 61, of here passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Born in Salisbury, MD on March 15, 1962, she is the daughter of Louise A. Baker and the late James R. Agnew.
Joan graduated from Wicomico High School in 1980 and then graduated from Salisbury State University in 1984 with a Medical Technician Degree. She married William Meredith of Frenchtown in 1993. She was a member of Salisbury Baptist Temple. She worked at Merial Select in Berlin, MD and most recently at UMES. Joan enjoyed traveling, bicycling, spending time on the boat, working with Billy in the woodpile and the many family activities.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Bill Meredith of Salisbury, mother, Louise A. Baker, children Austin Meredith and his wife Brooke and grandson Easton, Aaron Meredith (Audrey King), brother John Agnew and his wife Holly, special aunt Harriette Hammond, nieces and nephews, Christie Cook, Jessica Agnew, Jamie Miller, Josh Lowe, Dan Lowe, Bethany Greenfield, Amanda Abbey, and Brett Savage, cousins Jon Carl Hammond, Phillip Massey, Emily Waters, Daniel Hammond, Deborah Warrington, Sharon Long, Cheryl Morgan, Neil Massey and sister-in-law Phyllis Lowe.
The family would like to express their gratitude and special thanks to Aunt Harriette Hammond and Debbie Warrington for the special care they provided to Joan and her family as well as Coastal Hospice for all their care and compassion, and to Salisbury Baptist Temple for the many meals, prayers, and visits.
A visitation will be held from 7-9 P.M. on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A. in Princess Anne, MD. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Salisbury Baptist Temple where friends may call from 12:30-1:30 P.M. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery in Willards, MD. Pastor Leto will officiate.
