Joan Marie Alsop, 80, died at home, December 1st, 2012. Born January 17, 1932, in Washington DC., Joan was the daughter of the late Mary Flemming Aslop and Frank E. Alsop.
She is survived by a daughter Linda Taylor Wirt of Fairmount, two sons, James H. Taylor and his wife Carole Young Taylor of Manokin and Lawrence E. Taylor and his wife Debbie L:usk Taylor of Fairmount, Grandchildren, James K. Long of Cambridge, Larry L. Elliott of Fairmount, and Nicole M. Thomas also of Fairmount. Also suriving are a brother Frank A. Alsop of Waldorf, MD. and a sister Caroline M. Rihanek of Lincoln NE. Prceding her in death was her brother Lawrence F. Alsop.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8th., at 1:00 P.M. in the Fairmount Cemetery. Rev. Nolan Ford will officiate.
