Princess Anne – James H. Bolen, 93, of here passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Princess Anne on May 6, 1929, he was the son of the late Harry and Erma (Jones) Bolen. Jim worked as a body shop manager. He was a member of the American Legion Post 94, Redmen's Tony Tank Tribe 149 in Fruitland and Old Friendship United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. Jim loved gardening and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James A Bolen (1991), sisters Florence Hitchens and Mary Goslee, and brother Bill Bolen.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Bolen of Princess Anne, MD, daughter Teresa Lukasik and her husband Steve of Glouster, VA and son Richard J. Bolen and his wife Christine of Charlotte, NC, two grandchildren, Nicholas and Dominic Bolen and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Coastal Hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
