Obituary

Jack Phillip Parkinson Jr. better known as "Jackie", 59, of here, passed peacefully on Wednesday Oct. 8, 2014. Born June 12, 1955, he was the son of the late Jack Parkinson, Sr. and Julia Ford Parkinson. He was a hardworking waterman who enjoyed bowling. He was a member of the Deal Island - Chance Volunteer Fire Company for 40 years. Jackie was a kindhearted person who would do anything for anyone.
He is survived by two daughters Jessica Parkinson of Salisbury and Ashley Parkinson of Wenona, his longtime companion Mona Webster and her daughter Jasmine, which Jackie treated as his own. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Raymond, Sydney, Sierra, and Julia, a brother , Bruce Parkinson and his wife Patti, of Westover, three nieces Chrissy (Bruce), Mandy (Mike), and Lauren, a great nephew, great niece, several aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Betsy and Mitzi, his Uncle Roland and Aunt Edwina.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 11. 2014 at 2:00 PM at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona where friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow the service in the Church Cemetery. The Rev. David Webster will officiate.
