Salisbury - Irene Carol Beauchamp passed away on January 21, 2022. She was born August 27, 1945 to the late Betty Mae French.
She attended Washington High School. After leaving school she worked for many years at Manhattan Shirt Factory and D&F Shirt Factory. After the shirt factory industry closed down, she obtained her GED then went on to Woodbridge Business Institute completing the Administrative Assistant program. After graduation she worked for Delmarva Beauty Academy for 13 years, Ackman Associates for 3 years, then for Ingerman and Horowitz working in the workman's compensation field until her retirement in 2017.
She was a very determined and hard working person. She overcame many obstacles during her life and was proud of her accomplishments.
In her younger years she would spend many summers canning vegetables for her family, sewing, crocheting, and ceramics. She loved to cook giant meals at Thanksgiving and make her famous fudge at Christmas.
She spent many summers at Roaring Point Campground, where she loved to people watch, sit in the beach, watch the sunsets, and ride her golf cart.
She is survived by her 3 children, Lisa Coleman (Kevin), Nanticoke, Sam Beauchamp, Hebron, Elwood (Woody) Beauchamp, Hurlock. Seven grandchildren, Christina Heath, Salisbury, Kelly Shiles (Dustin), Mardela, Lacey Coleman, Salisbury, Kevin Coleman Jr, Craig Beauchamp, Heather Beauchamp, and Jayson Beauchamp. She has 9 great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her siblings TG Hutchison, Gary Hutchison, Greg French and Sherry Cook and special friend Linda Benton Spery.
Arrangements are being handled by Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne MD where friends and family may come to celebrate her life. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 11, 2022. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:00 am. The Rev David Webster will officiate.
