Ira "Paul" Elias, 61, of Princess Anne, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore.

Born in Salisbury on January 30, 1964, he was raised in Quantico, MD. He was the son of Anna Leah Powell Elias of Salisbury and the late John Robert Elias.

Paul was currently lot supervisor at Vulcan Materials, where he had worked for more than 25 years.

Fishing was his lifelong passion and he also enjoyed hunting in his younger years.

Along with his mother, Anna, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Janice Lee Elias of Princess Anne; three children, Ira Paul "P.J." Elias, II of Princess Anne, Pamela Lauren Elias of Westover, and Samuel Jacob Elias and wife Ashley of Princess Anne; a sister, Gertrude Lynne Jones and husband Randy of Salisbury; a brother, John Robert Elias, Jr. of Delmar, DE; 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many very dear friends.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Melissa Sue Kohler.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
