Howard "Pop" Puckett Jr., 74 of Mt. Vernon, died at home Oct. 31, 2012. Born in Richmond, VA. on May 24, 1938, he was the son of the late Howard O. Puckett, Sr. and Nellie Anthony Puckett. Howard worked as a farmer for most of his life.
He is survived by a daughter, Victoria Collins and husband Charles of Princess Anne, one brother, Sonny Barnard Puckett of VA., Sisters, Nora McCabe of Whaleyville, Jane Hastings of Pittsville, Gracie Waterhouse of Ironshire, and Helen Ralston of VA., along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his wife Margaret Baker Puckett, a son William Joseph Puckett and a brother James Robert Puckett.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at 1:00pm. in the Asbury Church Hall in Mt. Vernon. Rev. Olivia Costango will Officiate.
