IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Herbert Claude
Bounds
November 22, 1937 – February 7, 2024
Marion - Herbert Claude Bounds, 86, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Medical Hospital after a brief illness. Herb was a Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Good Friend to many.
Born in Salisbury, Maryland on November 22, 1937, to the late Claude Leonard and Dorothy (Derby) Bounds. Herb grew up locally and began his career as a salesperson in the HVAC industry. His knowledge of the business and people skills resulted in an offer to manage a Florida Company which he expanded to multiple branches throughout the State. After 10 years the pull of the Shore saw him and his family return to Princess Anne. Herb loved being busy and did not retire until he was 80. He then had continuous home projects for himself and others that occupied his time. He also developed a special bond with a pet, Ana, which kept him active until it's passing a year ago.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Loving Wife of 43 years Anne Muir Bounds with whom he relished traveling and dancing.
Herb loved to talk about cars, real estate and anything new he had found on You Tube TV. He served in the National Guard and was Elder and member of Manokin Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Anne Joyeusaz (John) of McLean, VA, Paige Widdowson (Kevin) of Princess Anne, MD, Kara Lee Bounds (Mike Barnes) of Ft. Myers, FL, and Susan Outten (Jason) of Sterling, VA, grandchildren, Margarete Anne Hack, Katherine Muir Hack, Edward John Joyeusaz III, Hannah Widdowson Gallione, Conner Edward Outten, Katie Outten and Elizabeth Outten, three great grandchildren, nephew Kurt Pittman and sister-in-law Charlotte Muir (Bob Meehan)
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday February 11, 2024 at Manokin Presbyterian Church in Princess Anne, MD. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Amy Lawrence will officiate. A luncheon will be held following the services where friends may visit with the family.
