Princess Anne- Ernest W. Taylor, 83, formerly of Chance, died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Aurora Senior Living of Manokin, in Princess Anne. Born on November 27, 1930, he was the son of the late John and Evelyn Stine Taylor. Ernie worked as a Tug Boat Captain and loved shooting a game of shuffle board.
He is survived by his children, Genie Taylor of Salisbury, Liz Taylor of Salisbury, Ernest Taylor of Cudjoekey, Florida, and Kirk Taylor of Mount Vernon. He also leaves five grandchildren, Cheryl Taylor, Larry Taylor, Nicole Taylor, Ian Taylor, and Toni Taylor, his sister-in law Kay Watson of Mount Vernon and his brother-in law George "Butch " Dreyer, Jr. of Marion, along with several Great Grand nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, preceding him in death were his wife, Wilma Dreyer Taylor and his son Scott Taylor.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 22,2014, at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Rev. Linwood "Sonny " Benton will officiate.
