Elwood E. Cadle, 85, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, May 11, 2026, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional.

Born in Beckley, WV on September 2, 1940, he was a son of the late Lowell and Nellie Warren Cadle.

He was a painting contractor, working on the Eastern Shore for more than 50 years. He loved being outside working in his yard and going shopping at Lowes and Home Depot.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joanne Ford Cadle; his close friends, Wayne and Diane Shaff, and Steve Cline; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Edward E. Cadle, Evelyn E. Cadle Wickline, and Edna E. Cadle.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 1 PM at Hinman Funeral Home. Lay Leader Joseph Vinson will officiate.
