Elkanah Preston "Buster" Parks
Princess Anne; Elkanah Preston Buster Parks, 70 died Friday at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late Edward "Kenny" Parks and Pauline Wilson Parks. Mr. Parks was retired from Dresser Industries. He was a member of St. Peters United Methodist Church In Oriole where he was a lay leader, Sunday school teacher and trustee. He was a member of Somerset Ruritan Club, Past Master of Manokin Lodge No. 106 AF & AM and a Past Worthy Patron of Manokin Chapter No. 109 OES, in Princess Anne. Mr. Parks was a thirty second degree Mason and belonged to the Salisbury Scottish Rite. He was also a volunteer at the Bloodbank of Delmarva.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mary " Libby Parks", A son, James Preston "Jamie" Parks and his wife Kim of Westover, Two grandchildren, Evan Parks and Ian Parks and four sisters, Diane Beauchamp of Princess Anne, Ellen Dorsey and her husband Robert of Westover, Debbie Barnes and her husband Woody of Princess Anne and Leah Webster and her husband Bruce of Deal island. Also survived by brother and sister in laws, Billie and Larry Miller of Salisbury, William and Karina Bozman of Arnold, Md. Everett Bozman of champ, Jerry and Mary Beth Bozman of Princess Anne, Charles and Terri Bozman of Princess Anne, Irene and Lee Vetra of Princess Anne and Bonnie and Robert Wells of Princess Anne . and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept 29th at 2:00 PM at St. Peters United Methodist Church in Oriole. The Rev. Sally Stewart will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole. Friends may call at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne on Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM where a Masonic service will be held at 8:00 PM and also at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
