Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Walker, 69 of Fruitland passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.
She was born at home in Parsonsburg on Dec. 5, 1944, the daughter of Joyce M. Jackson of Parsonsburg and the late George L. Jackson.
Elizabeth worked for several years for Perdue Inc. in Salisbury and Green Giant in Fruitland before her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, spending time with her dog, Baby Girl, and feeding neighborhood cats.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Boyde R. Walker, one son, Boyde L. Walker and his wife, Christine of Fruitland, and a granddaughter, Jessica Walker; her siblings, Richard Jackson and his wife, Joanne of Eden, David Jackson of Parsonsburg, Carol Navarre and her husband, George of Salisbury, Kay Butler and her husband, Walt of Salisbury, Joyce Moats of Delmar, a sister -in-law, Sandra Jackson of Delmar and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by a brother, Edward L. Jackson and mother-in-law, Ressie Townsend.
We wish to extend our thanks for the excellent care she received from Peninsula Home care and Coastal Hospice and support from her family and friends during her illness.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at 2:00 p.m. in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Tim Shawyer will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Allen.
