Eden – Eleanor S. Haye, 90 of here passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Manokin Manor in Princess Anne, MD.

Born in Lawrenceville, PA on April 3, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Denver and Julia (Mortensen) Shoemaker. Eleanor worked as a receptionist for Blind Industries and Services of Maryland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alden "Dick" Haye, her siblings, Vera King, Gene Shoemaker, Denver Shoemaker, Jr., Lucille Houser, and Audine Jensen.

Eleanor is survived by her daughter Terry Carey and her husband Stephen of Eden, MD, and son, Thomas S. King, also of Eden, granddaughter Diana Cayer of Crisfield, grandson Stephen Carey, Jr. of Eden, MD, great-grandchildren, William Alden Cayer and Allison Cayer.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Olivet Cemetery in Eden, MD.
