Elaine Muir Tawes, 76, passed away at home on Saturday. October 21, 2017
Born March 28, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Ruth P. Muir.
Elaine had worked as a secretary for Somerset County Tourism.
She is survived by her companion and caregiver, Clyde Dietrich, two sons, Brian Tawes and his wife, Trudy of Ocean City, Md.and David and his wife Jennifer of Catonsville, Md., granddaughter Kelly Ibarra and her husband, Sergio, grandson, Alexander Tawes, great grandchild, Julian Ibarra, sister-in-law Delores Muir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Muir.
A funeral service is planned for 2:00 P.M Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A., 11673 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne, Md. 21853 with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in Oriole. Reverend William Knicely will officiate.
