Princess Anne - Elaine Morgan Chelton, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 24 in her home with her children by her side. Born on August 27, 1939 in Crisfield, MD, she was the daughter of the late Roland Woodrow Morgan, Sr., and Christina Flurer Morgan.

Elaine received her graduate degree in Education from UMES. She was employed by the Somerset County Board of Education as an elementary school teacher in several schools in the county and retired after 34 years of teaching at the age of 73.

She is survived by her three children, Cynthia Chelton Crompton (Howard), Deborah Denise Crippen and Mark Thomas Chelton. She is also survived by a brother, Roland Woodrow Morgan, Jr. (Gail) and three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a niece and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 6 p.m. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, where friends and family may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held Friday, March 15 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Princess Anne.
