Lusby: Elaine D. Brewington, 85 of here formerly of Salisbury, died Thursday, May 5th at the Inns of Evergreen Assisted living Facility in Lusby. Born in Oriole on Feb. 5, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Edna Kay Laird. Mrs. Brewingtons late husband was Jay Brewington. She was a seamstress and had upholstered Furniture and Boats.
She is survived by her son and daughter In Law, Al Hastings and his wife Dottie Brimer Hastings of Sunderland, Md. a grandson, Joshua Hastings of Sunderland and a Sister, Ginny Whitman of Bluefield, Va as well as several nieces and nephews and her honorary family, Pastor Joseph, Charlethia and Tyr'a Awkward. She was preceeded in death by her late sisters, Juanita Adams and Gloria Dubbin and her late brothers, Bobby Laird, Joe Laird, Russell Laird and Claude Brewer.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 2: PM at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call one hour prior to service time. Pastor Joseph Awkward will officiate. Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery in Oriole.
