Bradenton, FL – Edward James Winship, Jr., 79, of Bradenton, FL and formerly of Princess Anne, MD passed away on November 27, 2018.
Born in Baltimore on January 29, 1939, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Margaret (Goddell) Winship, Sr.
Ed was founder and former owner of Manokin Manor of Princess Anne, a Mason, U.S. Veteran and a charter member of the Mt. Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (Bell) Winship (2000), and brother Alvin Winship.
He is survived by his children, Robyn Winship, Kristi Patterson (Bruce), and Edward J. Winship III, all of Florida, grandchildren Kurt Edward Drechsler, Michael Fiske Drechsler, Christopher Charles Price (Ericka) , Sara Margaret Brown (Larry), Nicholas Padgett Drechsler, Ryann Bethany Price, Sister Eleanor Malone (Winfred) and sister in law Lois Winship.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Antioch United Methodist Church, 11656 Somerset Ave. in Princess Anne with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Olivia Costango will officiate. Interment will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, Md.
