EDWARD TUBMAN TARLETON SR.

Chance: Edward T. Tarleton Sr., 90 of here died Friday, Aug. 27th at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Baltimore he was a son of the late William Aaron Tarleton and Nellie Jones Tarleton. A World War II Army Veteran who served with General Pattons 8th Army, Mr. Tarleton had worked as a carpenter for the former Chris Kraft Boatbuilding Corporation and at Scotts Cove Marina in Chance. He had also been employed at The former Delmarva Modular Homes in Princess Anne. Mr. Tarleton was a charter member of the Deal island Chance Volunteer Fire Company, a life member of Deal Island Chance Lions Club, a member of Rock Creek United Methodist Church in Chance and the OT Beauchamp post 94 American Legion in Princess Anne.

Mr. Tarleton is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Virginia Tarleton. Two children, Edward T. Tarleton Jr. and his wife Marge of Princess Anne and Christine Tarleton Ward and her husband, Douglas of Crisfield. Two granddaughters, Andrea L. Evans and Lauren D. Evans, both of Salisbury and several cousins and nephews. A late brother was Lester Tarleton.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 1st at 2:00 PM at the Rock Creek United Methodist Church in Chance where friends may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The Revs. Lloyd Foard and Henry Zollinhofer will officiate. Interment will be held in Rock Creek Cemetery in Chance.
