Edward "Ned" Mitchell Shores, 59 of Princess Anne, went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury.
Born February 9, 1956, in Princess Anne, he was the son of the late Isaac Mitchell Shores and Norma Murray Shores.
Ned attended Washington High School and later joined the Merchant Marines. He was a member of Manokin Lodge No. 106 AF & AM in Princess Anne. He was also a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon. He worked as an electrician for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by two sons, Jacob Shores and wife Jennifer and grandson, Liam, Caleb Shores and wife Christy, and Grandson, Connor, and one daughter, Sarah Bedsworth and fiance, Cory Townsend. and granddaughters, Hunter, Dillana and Autumn.
Also survived by his brother Gary Shores and his wife, Donna, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ned was proceeded in death by his sister, Charlotte Shores Benton.
A Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne where friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. A Masonic memorial service will be held during the Funeral. The Rev. James DeVaughn will officiate. Interment will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
