Princess Anne – Edward James "Ned" Muir Sr, 90, of here passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Born in Monie, MD, he was the son of the late Van and Reba (Bozman) Muir, Sr. Ned was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Manokin Lodge 106, AF & AM, in Princess Anne, O.T. Beauchamp Post 94 American Legion in Princess Anne and St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Oriole. He retired from Acme as a meat cutter.
Ned is survived by his wife, Mildred W. Muir, sons Edward James Muir, Jr. and his wife Tina of Greenbackville, VA and Keith Muir and his wife Carole of Princess Anne, MD, Brother, Van B. Muir Jr. and his wife Ginger, Princess Anne, grandchildren, Megan Muir Stanley and her husband, Ethan, Ross Muir, Matthew Muir and his wife Ai, Katie Murray and her husband Phillip and Kayla Furman and her husband Doug. Also survived y 8 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Late Sisters were Sarah E. White and her husband James and Ella M. Walker and her husband,, Martin and late brothers were Allan Muir and Harry Nice Muir.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 23 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. The Rev. David Webster will officiate. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00. Interment with Military honors will be held in the St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole.
