Dorothy Elizabeth Crimmins Ripley, 70, of Chance, died May 5, 2010 at her home.

Born on May 29, 1939 in Yonkers, New York, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Howard Florin and Dorothy Fyfe Florin.

Dorothy retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a postmaster after 27 years of service.

She is survived by a son, Bobby Crimmins and wife Julie of Fruitland; daughter, Donna Crimmins of Pocomoke; step-son, Dr. Scott Ripley and wife Shelly of Downingtown, PA, step-daughter, Patty Campbell and husband Mark of Oregon; grandchildren, Erin, Jaime, Kyle, Rachel and Billy, Cassandra, Lydia, Haley; two brothers, Robert Florin of Connecticut and William Florin and wife Pam of New York and several nieces and nephews.

A late husband was Dr. Richard J. Ripley.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1pm at Church of God of Prophecy in Chance. Rev. Beatrice Johnson will officiate. A reception for family and close friends will be held at Peaky's Restaurant in Princess Anne at 3pm. Visit www.hinmanfuneralhome.com to leave condolences for the family.
