Obituary



Doris Marie Webster, of Deal island died on Nov. 14, 2011 at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke City. She was born in Deal Island on October 25, 1922. She was a daughter of the late Maurice and Karen Abbott.
She worked at Campbells Soup in Salisbury and retired from the Somerset County Board of Education. She loved her church, St. Johns United Methodist Church in Deal Island. She was a devoted Wife and Mother.
She is survived by three children, a son, Donald Webster and his wife Dana of Pocomoke, a son, Gary Webster and his wife Lucy of Princess Anne and a daughter, Vicky Holland of Salisbury, six grandchildren, Valerie Haldeman, Kimberly Costanzo, Lori Holland, Shirley (Chirl) Webster , Jessica Webster, and Brandi Webster. Three great-grandchildren, Andrew Haldeman, Corey Haldeman, and Makayla Lea Lenon. Also survived by her brother, Roger (Pip) Abbott of Princess Anne, two sisters, Betty France of Princess Anne and Carolyn Wheatley of Salisbury. along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Lee Webster in 1989, a brother, Oscar (Dipper) Abbott of Deal Island, and two sisters, Naomi Hancock of Salisbury and Lucille Bounds of Salisbury.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Nov. 18th at 2:00 PM at St. Johns United Methodist Church in Deal Island where friends may call One hour prior to service time. Interment will be held in the Church Cemetery.
Officiating will be the Rev. Lloyd Foard and the Rev. Dewey Crockett.
