Dora "Ellen" Donohoe went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at the age of 86. She was a resident of Princess Anne, MD.

Born on July 21, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John S. French and Dora E. French and step mother Esther M. French.

She was a graduate of Washington Academy. In her earlier years she worked as the Postmistress for Upper Fairmount for over 40 years.

Ellen was an active member of Mt. Olive Church in Westover and Antioch Church in Princess Anne. She was a member of the Somerset Sanitary District Board. She loved spending time with her friends.  Ellen loved working and helping in the crab house with her son Mark. She loved working in her garden. She was an avid reader, traveler, baker/cook. Ellen loved and adored her son Mark, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, David Donohoe, sister, Minnie Ford, son Mark (Barbara) Somers, son-in-law Christopher Wilson, stepchildren Stacey Donohoe and Todd(Kim) Donohoe, cousin Tyler (Rebecca) French, niece Sandra Windsor, nephew Tommy Wilson, special friend Nicki Somers Bashor, beloved dog Sophia, grandchildren Lauren Wilson, Lindsey (Justin) Peek, Kyle (Gabby) and Travis (Dina) Somers, Lee Kelly, Dayna Lively, great grandchildren Dakota Peek, Haisley Somers and Miles Peek, and is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Sheila Wilson, sister Beatrice Muir, brother Samuel French (Karen), husbands Charles Somers, Richard Ford and George Bush.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00PM on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the American Legion Post 94 in Princess Anne, MD. Pastors Harvey Tyler and Dean DeFino will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Fairmount Fire Department, Mt. Olive Church and Antioch Church in her honor.
