Donald E. Lietz, 75, of Princess Anne, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at his home.

Born in New Jersey on December 28, 1950, he was a son of the late Donald Lietz and Barbara Murray Meidoff. A retired inventory control specialist for ABC Roofing, Princess Anne had been his home for the past 27 years.

Donald was a devoted family man who cherished nothing more than being a “Pop-Pop.” His family was truly the center of his world, and the love he had for them was evident in everything he did. He will be lovingly remembered for his generous heart, his playful spirit, and his wonderful sense of humor. A true master jokester, Donald had a special gift for making people laugh and could always be counted on to bring a smile to those around him. His laughter, quick wit, and loving presence will be deeply missed, but the countless memories and joy he brought to his family and friends will remain in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Catherine Morrissey Lietz; three daughters, Jodi Helmholtz (Drew), Kelly Marrone, and Jennifer Breese; seven grandchildren, CJ Banka (Jessica), Katie Helmholtz, Dylan Breese, Emily Banka, Alyssa Breese, Lindsay Helmholtz, and Jackson Helmholtz; three brothers, Paul Lietz (Sandi), Robert Lietz (Sheri), and Craig Lietz (Bev); sister-in-law, Fran Lietz; nieces and nephews, Paul Lietz, Jr., Steven Lietz, Jr., Bobby Lietz, Samantha Kauffman, Daniel Lietz, and Christopher Lietz.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Lietz.
