Eden – Donald Alton Ball, 84, of here, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, Md.
Born in Salisbury on September 26, 1933, he was the son of the late Alton and Hilda (Bloodsworth) Ball. He was a lifetime farmer, and worked for Ota Stevenson, Inc. Most business' and restaurants around town knew him as the "Egg Man". He attended Christ United Methodist Church in Salisbury and was a member of the Wicomico County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mabel Lee Ball, son Donald Ball (Sherry) of Salisbury, daughter Dawn Sard (Don) of Mardela, brother Alfred Ball (Doris) Ball of Eden, brother in law Dean French (Betty) of Quantico, several nieces and nephews and last but not least, his beloved and constant companion-his beautiful German Shepherd dog Shez.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday , April 17, 2017 at Christ United Methodist Church, 211 Phillip Morris Dr. Salisbury, Md. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 A.M. Rev. Bill Green will officiate. Interment will follow at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
