Obituary

Princess Anne - Diana L Maxwell, 58, of Princess Anne passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Diana was born on March 5, 1966 to Alice (Kohlheim) Fisher and the late William Fisher of Allen, Maryland.  She was a 1984 graduate of Parkside High School in Salisbury Maryland.  She then married Keith Maxwell in September 1985 and they had 3 children. After which she worked as her mother's assistant at Long and Foster Realtors in Salisbury, Maryland. In 2000, she successfully obtained her real estate license and worked at Long and Foster Realtors. Diana was a devoted caregiver to her family, especially her grandmother until her passing at the age of 97. She then worked at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in dormitory security. Diana was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Salisbury, MD and had been a member of the Coastal Board of Realtors. She enjoyed traveling to see her family, boating with her daughter and brother on the Chesapeake bay, and cruising the Caribbean especially to St. Thomas.  But most of all, she loved baking pies, cookies, and candies with her grandchildren who loved baking with their "Dewey."

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Sarah Kohlheim, and paternal grandparents, Martin and Mildred Fisher. She is survived by her mother,  Alice Fisher, children Joseph and wife Silver Maxwell of Newport News, VA, Sarah Shahan of Princess Anne, MD and Lauren Maxwell of Sioux Falls, SD, 5 grandchildren Paige, Paityn and Parker Shahan, and Todd Meirose III, and Wyatt Meirose, and 1 great-grandchild Tatum Beebee, brothers Mark and wife Jennifer Fisher of Fenwick Island, DE and Stuart and wife Brenda Fisher of Gloucester, VA.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Hinman Funeral Home located at 11673 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne, MD and presided over by Pastor Alemu Katiso. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Bethany Lutheran Church located at 817 Camden Ave., Salisbury, MD 21801.
