Salisbury – Diana "Lynn" Waters Ford Cain, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away September 26, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born November 27, 1948 to the late Ira "Sam" Waters and Myrtle Lucille (Thomas) Waters.

Lynn graduated from Washington High School and Peninsula Regional Hospital's lab technician program. She worked at McCready Hospital in Crisfield, MD.

After the birth of her children, she began her lengthy career with the Somerset County Court System. She was a secretary for Judge Lloyd "Hot Dog" Simpkins, then for Judge Daniel Long. She ended her career as the Circuit Court Administrator.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Cain, and sister Nancy Espinoza.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, brother Freddy Waters, daughter Amy Ford Smith (Matt), son Jamie Ford (Tara), step-sons Greg and Matt Cain, grandchildren Hannah Sherrell (Brendan) Kyle Mills (Breanna), Andrew Mills (Mackenzie), Ciara Smith, Elise Ford and Jase Ford, step-grandchildren Alicia Kenny (James), Greg Cain, Jr, Matt Cain, Jr and Priest, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne, MD. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 PM. A private burial will be held at a later date.
