Darrnond E. "Darney" Nuse, 90, of here died on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at the home of his daughter. Alice Lee, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Plainfield, N.J., on Nov. 13, 1922, he was a son of the late George Nuse and Maibelle Filmer Nuse. Mr. Nuse was a devoted husband and father and was a dedicated farmer. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran who was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart. His late wife was Mary Catherine Abbott Nuse.
Mr. Nuse is survived by five children, Brenda Willey of East New Market, Gloria Neff of Salisbury, David Nuse Sr. of Salisbury, Alice Lee Nuse of Salisbury and Debbie Jones of Salisbury. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and also a great-grandbaby boy will arrive in November and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. at Olivet Christian Cemetery near Eden. The Rev. Oren Perdue will officiate. Contributions may be made to Coastal hospice, P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
