Curtis Vance Sturgis Jr.

Oriole: Curtis Vance Sturgis, 64 of here died Thursday, Nov. 4th at home. Born in Salisbury he was the son of the late Curtis Vance Sturgis, Sr. and Bernice Sturgis. A Navy veteran and a member of OT Beauchamp Post 94 of the American Legion in Princess Anne, Mr. Sturgis had been employed at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore in Princess Anne as a plumber.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ellen Sturgis, Three children, Carlton Huntington and his wife Jeanine of Champ, Ritchie Quillen and his wife Dreena of Champ and Patricia "Scooter" Messick and her husband Jeffrey of Champ, Four grandchildren, Matthew Huntington, Samantha Huntington, Blair Messick and Ashley Quillen and two Sisters Linda Boltz and Betty Hancock.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 9th at 2:00 PM in Beechwood Cemetery in Princess Anne. The Rev. William Kniceley will officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.
