Princess Anne-Curtis William Long, 79, of here passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 16, 1937 in Whitesburg (near Snow Hill), he was the son of the late Freddie and Delia Riggin Long.
Mr. Long was a Natural Resource Technician with the State of Maryland Department of Natural Resources at thePocomoke River State Forest and Park division. He retired after 49 years of service.
He is survived by his two children, Patsy Green and her husband Melvin of Salisbury, Wayne Long and his wife Cheri of Fruitland, brother Ronnie Long and his wife June, and sister in law Bettie Long of Princess Anne, four grandchildren, Crystal Jones (Matt), Kimberly Watson (Michael), Christopher Long, Brittany Cain (Samuel) and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Long and nephew, Barry Long.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Hinman Funeral Home, 11673 Somerset Ave. in Princess Anne, Md. where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Olivet Cemetery near Snow Hill. Rev. William Kniceley will officiate.
