Allen – Constance P. Moore, 87, of Salisbury, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 14, 2021.
Connie was born March 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Myrtle Shaw Purcell. Her husband of 57 years, Fred R. Moore, Sr. also preceded her in death in 2009.
Connie was devoted to building the family farm and caring for her family. She worked beside her husband on the farm for decades in various roles from fixing meals to driving tractors to keeping the books. She also worked for Delmarva Power for 15 years. She was a member of the Wicomico County Farm Bureau, Allen Homemakers, Allen Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, and Eastern Shore Antique Automobile Club of America.
She is survived by her children, Fred R. Moore, Jr (Cheryl) and Edward Scott Moore, grandchildren Renee Holland, Edward T. Moore (Megan), Amber Moore, Samantha Moore, Thomas Moore, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to her caregivers.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Allen Cemetery, Chester Charnaugh will officiate.
