Princess Anne - Clay B Outten, 66, of Princess Anne, MD passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Tidal Heath after a brief illness.

Born March 28, 1958 and lived in Crisfield, Md with his Father Paul E Outten, and stepmother Millie Outten (Parks).

He was a graduate of Crisfield High School Class of 1976. Clay started his paving career alongside his father at P&A Engineering Inc. In 1987 he decided to start his own paving business with his father-in-law, Clarence L Green, Jr forming G&O Paving Inc. He retired from the paving business in 2006 and continued to drive his dump truck.

In 1982, Clay started a cow/calf herd, raising Hereford Cattle with wife and daughter at his side. He always enjoyed watching the cows grazing with their babies by their side. He also liked going to antique tractor pull with wife and buying a few along the way. He was able to purchase a John Deere 430 that was purchased by his Grand Father. Clay would recall playing on that tractor as a child.

Clay is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kay Outten, and his daughter Jennifer Outten. His stepmother Millie Parks and 2 half-sisters Paula Jarman (Alan) and Jolynn Pruitt (Philip "Nanner"). He is survived by a special brother Terrance Trey (From a different mother) and many friends.

The family would like to give a special Thank you to staff of Tidal Health for the care and compassion he received during his brief stay.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Peters United Methodist Church Cemetery in Oriole, MD. Pastor Matthew Sterling will officiate.
