Cheri Lynn Long, 62, of Fruitland, Md. passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Larry T. Townsend, Jr. and Betty Jane Miles Townsend.
Cheri loved her job as a bookkeeper, liked to read and loved traveling to Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Wayne Long of Fruitland, her children, Jodie (Ronnie) Foxwell of Salisbury, James A. (Jennifer) Johnson, Jr. of Girdletree, Christopher Long of Mardela, and Brittany (Samuel) Cain of Salisbury, grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Foxwell, Morgan, Christopher, Ryan, Nathan, Jason and Dylan as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Townsend III.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 16, 2017 at Hinman Funeral Home, P.A., 11673 Somerset Ave., Princess Anne, Md. 21853 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Bob Hawkins will officiate and interment will be in Olivet Christian Cemetery.
