Charlotte Shores Benton, 61 , died on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 at her home here . Born in Salisbury on April 10, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Shores and Norma Murray Shores. Mrs. Shores was a homemaker who had formerly worked at Salisbury University in the Admissions Department. She was a member of Unit 94 of the American Legion Auxilary in Princess Anne. She was a former member of the Deal Island Chance Lions Club and the Deal Island Chance Volunteer Fire Companys ladies Auxilary.
She is survived by her Husband, Paul T. Benton III, a daughter, Zoe Lee Benton of Chance, five grandchildren, Paul Brantley Hall, Rebecca Dorsey, Nathan Dorsey, Leah Dorsey and Christopher Benton, her brothers, Ned Shores of Mt. Vernon and Gary Shores of Mt. Vernon and several nieces and nephews. A Late son was Paul T. Benton IV.
A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014 at 11:00 AM in The Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Asbury United Methodist Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
