Charles L. Vesely, 77, of Princess Anne, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his home.
Born in Queens, New York on September 23, 1932, he was a son of the late Leopold Vesely and Jennie Emer Vesely.
Charles retired from Lewis Steel in Salisbury as a steelworker. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Salisbury Moose # 654 and the Redmen. Charles served in the U.S. army during the Korean War and was an avid sportsman and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Janice M. Vesely of Princess Anne; son, Charles Vesely, Jr. and his wife Betsy of New Poltz, NY; daughter Carolyn Conrad and husband Rick of Hopeel Junction, NY; two step-daughters, Shelly Barnes of Bourg, LA and Terri Barnes of Parsonsburg; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Donna Marks and three sisters, Emily Douda, Janet Kucera and Bunny Duda, preceded him in death.
A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne with the funeral service being held on Tuesday at 2pm. Rev. Tom Blakelock will officiate. Cremation will take place following the service.
